Hello Autumn, I’ve missed you!

Hello Autumn, I’ve missed you!

Autumn is here, and its arrived in style in the UK. It seems we have quickly reduced in temperature, and we currently endure rainy days and stormy nights. By the way, I am in no way complaining, since storms are my favourite when snuggled in bed, curtains open and lightening flashing.

My last BBQ seems a distant memory, and I have been mega busy looking at lush layers, jeans, jumpers and scarfs that can keep me this warm this season.

So, since its my favourite time of year, I thought I’d remind some of you the pro’s of the cooler weather and darker nights, so you can stop mopping around that summer has come to a end.

Books, bubble baths, candles and a snuggle in bed is my ultimate way to spend my evening in the middle of autumn. Darker evenings and wintery weather is the perfect  set up for movie marathons in style! Layer not only your wardrobe, but your bed too, to create the ultimate nook for snuggles and movie watches. Fairy lights are a must to create a warm glow in your room, and feels much better than a harsh light. Yankee candles, a lush bath bomb and a good classic book is a personal must this season!
Burning fire, hot chocolate, big baggy jumpers, duvets and the sound of rain hitting the window is the perfect way to end a stressful day in the height of autumn. Add some marshmellows to your hot choccy, and set the lights to a warm glimmer and you’d be wishing autumn came sooner!!Duvet days, and bingin on netflix are going to be my weekends till christmas at this rate.
What do you think? Are the colder months your favourite, or you missing the sunshine and brighter evenings? Maybe I have missed a autumn essential? Let me know and comment below.

I love this time of year. Nothing beats sitting in front of an open fire, hot drink in one hand and a book in the other while it absolutely throws it down outside! X

I love cooler days (not the freezing ones:) ) and I definitely love autumn. Layering up, sitting by the fire and enjoying the rain and so on… Autumn is a great season for being cozy and enjoying the depressing autumn sky 🙂

I have to say, Autumn always makes me feel a bit sucky because I adore summer and am sad to see it go! Can't go wrong with marshmallow hot chocolate though, as you mentioned. Plus the colder weather is the best excuse to snuggle with a book in bed.

I actually wrote a post similar to this (http://curlyandwordy.blogspot.co.uk/2015/09/6-reasons-to-not-be-so-sad-that-summer.html) but it's great to see someone else's reasons to not be so sad summer is over!
