I love foundations and I’m always trying to find a new favourite, so when a new one hits stores I’m always curious and eager to try. In a recent post of mine (my go to foundations) I told you all about my recent favourite and reliable foundations I always grab.
It was then I realised that I had the outdated L’Oreal Infallible foundation, and it had since got better! I loved the old formulae and to know it had got even better, I knew I had to run out and give it a go. So in a recent small Boots shop, I grabbed the new Infallible foundation in Matte, and thought I’d give their primer a try too.
I tend to have combination skin, and find my t-zone can get really oily real quick. The mattifying was a brilliant choice, along with the primer and my make-up didn’t shine much at all.
In terms of the primer, I’m not that picky, and feel aslong as it keeps my foundation in check, and smoothes my skin before hand, I’m happy. This does all of that! Easy to apply and leaves my skin smooth, giving a great base to apply my foundation and concealer. Being really lightweight, I could easily use under heavier foundations and still not feel I’m caked in make-up.
The foundation is a new favourite for me. Again lightweight but medium coverage, I can wear and still have the bare look. Easy to apply, and leaves my skin looking natural and fresh. It covers my reddness and blemishes so well, and doens’t feel too cloggy on my pores.
Overall I am so impressed with these two products. They work so well together and for someone who has combination and oily skin, its great to find a drugstore combo that keeps your foundation flawless and staying put!
What do you think? Have you tried either of these products? Is there a foundation / primer that I need to try? Let me know and comment below.
