Ideal meal : Mexicana

So, after my first italian ideal meal, I thought I’d go a little true to form in my household. We are lovers of all things mexican, and its not a usual week if we dont have some kind of mexican food.
Tacos, burritos, quesadillas, tortilla bake, chili con carne, you name it, we have it. So here is, a usual mexican dinner we call our favourite. The best bit, none of this takes loads of time!

Who hasn’t had nachos? Who doesn’t like nachos? I don’t think I have met someone who hasn’t tried or doesn’t like nachos! They can be a snack or loaded for a main meal. And they’re super easy to do. Make it easy with a Nacho kit, or just buy all the essentials to create your own loaded plate. We like to have ours fairly plain, topped with salsa, sour cream and plenty of cheese. Add some bacon, chicken or beef to add more flavour and create your own salsa for a real home loaded nacho plate.

It was the first ever mexican dish I had ever tried, and remains my favourite. So simple yet so tasty. Buy a kit and add your meat for a simple take on this classic, or buy the essentials to really create your own. Either use chicken or beef, or even a mix of the two to create mexican wraps packed with flavour. 
On the side : Homemade salsa / mexican rice 
Some times all this isn’t enough, and we tend to like a little bit on the side. Homemade salsa just hits the spot with chopped onions and tomatoes, topped with guacamole and sour cream. Mexican rice can also add more spice and flavour to your fajita dish, and can be found, once again as a kit, or create your own for extra flavour.
