Since moving in just a year and half ago, it’s only now me and my fiancée are settling into a real routine with our home. After just a year, every room possible had been moved and changed at least twice.
It was really hard to establish what way was either more comfy, cosy or more suitable to the space.
We live in a two bedroom ‘mansion’ apartment, with high ceilings and large windows. It’s quirky and offers lots of space as well as grandeur. It was a new build, and so a new kitchen and two new bathrooms were there waiting – wahoo!
The only thing we really needed to do was kit the place with flooring and furniture. We still have the new build white walls, however we hope to bring a splash of colour sooner rather than later!
Being newbie home owners, and living with parents, we were just desperate to move in and get started, so painting was something we put on the back burner.
As we started to move in, we quickly realised we had to incorporate the grandeur of the apartment, as well as make it as cosy, multifunctional and useful as possible.
We have a open plan kitchen, living, diner which is just perfect for me and my fiancee. It means whilst I slog away in the kitchen, I can still watch TV! Plus it makes the best entertaining space!
Since we have pretty much kitted our apartment out now, and we have actually started to maintain a ‘tidy’ lifestyle, I thought it would be lovely to start showcasing my home a little more on my blog.
I love interiors and I love adding bits and pieces into our home! I belive the home is a real important factor and it should show both you and your family in every way possible.
Over the next couple of months, I hope I can take you on a journey of our home, and welcome you into the spaces we have created to make the most of the space we have.
We do have a re-accuring ‘theme’ through the place, and grey is a colour that pops up fairly frequently in the apartment. But you’ll see that as we go through!
So, welcome to yet another new blog series, and one I hope to maintain whilst we add and adapt our home.
Is there anything you would particularly like me to showcase?
