Yes, its the only day of the year where it is socially acceptable to dress up in any shape or form, and publically beg for sweets in the name of trick or treating.
Albeit, not many of us get to do that any more, we still have the opportunity to dress up, look like fools and have a generic spooky time!
Despite the almost mid-week Halloween we are enduring this year, and for a few more just yet, we can still have a awesome time, even on a school night!
Baking some treats, munching on chocolate and sweeties, and watching your favourite Halloween flick, scary or not, is the p-e-r-f-e-c-t way to spend Halloween.
Here’s my ultimate Halloween night in for those of you still stuck on what to do tonight.
– Bake some Halloween Cookies –
Or make anything sweet for that matter. Get into the spirit and make some real autumnal sweet treats like pumpkin pie, Halloween cookies or Vampire Blood punch? Check my post here for some quick and rather easy bakes to sink your teeth into tonight!
– Host a fright night –
It’s not too late to host a fright night in the comfort of your own home! Grab a couple of friends, a Netflix login and a couple candles and host your own frightful evening of horror films and screams! If you’re not too keen on screaming this year, watch some real classics like Hocus Pocus to keep in the spooky spirit!
Catch my 31 days of horror films post here for some movie inspiration.
– Play a good old game –
Yes, a good old game of Monopoly, Cluedo or my new fav, cards against humanity. Granted, it’s not completely Halloween related, but whatever the season or festivity, board games are always a good idea. Make it moody playing by candle light, and even have some Halloween snacks and a movie in the background!
– Carve a Pumpkin –
It’s never too late to carve a pumpkin, and I actually try and do it on Halloween. I hate a soggy pumpkin and they can get pretty rancid rather quick if carved far to early. All good supermarkets supply pumpkins, hopefully there are a couple left, even if they are a little pre-loved! Grab one, a good scoop and get creative!!
I am so excited to get cosy in my best pjs, and settle down for one last horror. What it will be I have no idea, but be sure I will get myself well and truly scared!!
