Lifestyle | Turning Twenty Four

Just last week I turned 24, and the celebrations have only just come to an end!!

In true form, I had a good couple of days of celebrating and spent plenty of time with my fiancée and my family. I’m not really one to celebrate it massively, and so lots of little bits and pieces across the weekend did just fine.

Since sooo many of you wished me a good day, and asked what I was getting up to, I thought I curate a little post to detail the weekend antics!

Thursday was my actual birthday. However, it didn’t really count cos of work in the day and the following day too. I wanted a chilled one with my fiancée, so we went out for dinner and mooched at home. I am now of course a proper adult since cards and presents were not opened until the evening!!

Friday contained more work, however, the evening included my favourite Indian takeaway, my parents, sister, sister’s boyfriend, fiancée’s parents, fiancée’s sister and her husband!! It was sooo nice to settle down with everyone, mix and mingle and ultimately eat the most amazing Chicken Korma you can get your hands on!!

Saturday was the day in London. I had been sooo excited for it for weeks since we booked our tickets with Tesco Clubcard. I haven’t been to London for agesss and we booked to visit the Aquarium and Madame Tussauds. Having never been to Madame Tussauds, I was really excited to experience it for myself. I have to say, despite walking away with 4 blisters and shin splints (yes we walked alot), I had the best day!!

We mooched round London, experienced the Christmas lights, shopped a little, had a gorgeous dinner, in Charlotte’s Place may I add, and made our way home. In between all of that we of course visited the aquarium and Madame Tussauds. I do have a sudden urge to go back before Christmas to get even more festive!

Sunday we just collapsed. Literally. We got home at half 12 the night before, and my feet were ruined. We didn’t have too much planned since we were heading to my aunties for a Chinese to once again celebrate in the evening. And so we just chilled. Chinese was great with my family, and I totally indulged in Satay sauce!! Happy Birthday was sung, again, and it was a great way to round off the 24th Birthday Celebrations.

This, in no way is the most exciting post I have ever created! What I can say is, it was lovely to feel loved from everyone, on my birthday and the days following.

London is the best place to celebrate anything, let alone a pretty boring age like 24!!
