Wedding | Feeling Confident On Your Big Day – Advice For Blushing Brides

There’s no single day in your life when there’s more pressure to look fabulous than your wedding day.

After months of planning, that special date will arrive, and all eyes will be on you. As a blushing bride, it’s natural to want to look and feel your best. For many, the idea of being the star of the show is incredibly exciting, but for others, the limelight can be overwhelming.

If you’re counting down the days until you say I do, here are some tips to help build your confidence and ensure you enjoy every moment of your big day.

Body image |
Body image is a major issue for many of us. Most of us feel slightly apprehensive about showing off our figures at the best of times. Even if you’re incredibly excited, your wedding day can be a daunting prospect if you’re not completely comfortable in your own skin. There are cameras everywhere and crowds of people focusing all their attention on you. If you’re worried about how you’re going to look on your wedding day, set yourself some goals. Many of us have a happy weight, which makes us feel more confident.

If you’re keen to lose a bit of weight before the big day, don’t leave it until the last minute and research diets that suit you. Leave yourself plenty of time to find one that works best with your current lifestyle and habits. Do not starve yourself! Not eating can actually make you gain weight!

If dieting is a struggle or you find it difficult to loose weight for health reasons, you could always consider procedures like liposuction. Whilst it’s not the right move for everyone, it could be a procedure that could give you a burst of self confidence you are after for your big day and there after! It’s a big thing to consider so be sure to get the right advice on whether this is the best option for you!

Overall, start paying more attention to what you eat and trying to be more active with months to go, rather than days. Stick to a healthy eating plan and do more exercise. Exercise will help you burn fat and tone up, and it will also help you to de-stress from the wedding woes!

Choosing the right dress |

Shopping for a wedding dress can be the most wonderful experience, but there are often highs and lows involved. You may have an image of exactly what you want before you go to the first boutique, but try and be open-minded.

It’s very common to end up with a style you never even considered before you started trying gowns. Don’t get upset or frustrated if you don’t find that perfect dress in the first shop. Give yourself time, and try a wide range of styles and shapes.

Hold out for the dress that makes you feel confident and try not to be rail roaded by others around you. It’s your dress, and you want to feel amazing on your big day.

Increasing your confidence in front of the camera |
Some people love having their photograph taken, but for others, it can be a very awkward experience. If you’re not used to being in front of the camera, it’s really useful to do some test shots before your wedding day.

Get in touch with your photographer and see if you can do some dummy shots or an engagement shoot.

This will give you the chance to familiarise yourself with the photographer and the camera, and you can figure out which looks and angles flatter you.

If you’re getting married soon, it’s only natural to want to look your best on your big day. You want to look in the mirror and feel like you look beautiful. If you struggle with a lack of confidence or you’re anxious about being centre stage, start making preparations now. If you’ve got targets in mind, for example, you want to lose a bit of weight, tone up your arms or gain a couple of pounds, start working on those objectives as soon as possible.

Remember, it’s your day and it’s important for you to not only feel comfortable, but happy in every aspect. Try not to apply too much pressure and get prepared early.
