As you may well know , I headed off on part one of my Bridal celebrations. My amazing sister – maid of honour, planned an entire weekend in London with my nearest and dearest. Even when I left work early and boarded the train, I didn’t have a clue what we were doing!

And for someone who never get’s surprises, I was utterly surprised. It was the most brilliant weekend and everything I imagined from a Hen. I am suffering from the Hen Do weekend blues so much, but It’s all worth it for the fantastic fun we all had.

So here’s everything we got up to.

ps. if you’ve seen the snaps and want to shop all the little additions from the weekend, scroll down to the ‘little details’ heading!

Friday

I finished work a little earlier than usual and hopped on the train at Haywards Heath. Within an hour we were in London and grabbing the tube to our hotel. We stayed in the Grange City hotel, which was utterly beautiful. The service was superb and the location was amazing. We were right by the River Thames and Tower Of London. In my gorgeous duel aspect room I could even see the Tower of London!

Ruby Blue – Leicester Square

After freshening up and putting on a face of make-up, we headed out for dinner at Ruby Blues in Leicester Square. The food was amazing and the amount of alcohol we had included was superb. They had a little veranda that looked out over Leicester Square, and a bar come club downstairs which we all had entry too. As you can see from the snaps, I was surprised with ‘Hunky Harry’ who I was told needed to be cared for and arrive at my Bridal Shower the following weekend too.

Once we finished our dinner, wine and processco, and having a mini photo shoot on the veranda, we decided we best head back in the direction of the hotel. After making our way back, and me falling rather softly to my bum, we hit the tubes and hotel bound. Hunky Harry certainly turned a head or two on our tube journey home!

It was the best decision as a few of us hit a local bar and headed to bed just short of 1am.

Saturday

Luckily, I wasn’t hanging on Saturday Morning, and so breakfast and a walk around Tower Hill and down the Thames was really rather enjoyable. We headed back to the hotel for an early afternoon swim before heading to the second surprise.

Afternoon Tea

The hotel hosted the most delicious afternoon tea possible. I have never had afternoon tea before, other than one in my own garden, so it was lovely to experience a true afternoon spread. There were cakes and sandwiches aplenty. As well as your very own teapot of hot chocolate or tea! I was absolutely stuffed after all the sandwiches and cakes, that we all headed back to our rooms for a quick nap and lie down, before getting ready for our night out!

Medieval Banquet

Even as we left the hotel to walk to our destination, I still had no idea where we were heading. Truth be told, I thought we were heading on a boat, since we scouted out the docks earlier in the day. However, we were actually heading to the medieval banquet.

Whether it was the couple of Apple sourz shots that I had before, or the bottle of Prosecco I downed before leaving the hotel, but I was sooo overwhelmed. Literally. I had never really had surprises before and I was completely caught off-guard. I thought I had it all figured out.

And that threw me off completely. Once we were inside, I was taken to rails and rails of costumes to wear for the evening! In the end, me, my sister and my cousin all wore tudor styled clothing. We had one long banquet table for all 16 of us had a ‘wench’ who would bring us our food and drinks on demand. We had entertainment running all night including duels!

It was sooo much fun and nothing like I have ever done before. At the end of the evening there was a ‘disco’ until they closed at 12pm. Honestly, it was the best fun ever! We headed back to the hotel and once again a couple of us hit a local bar for a few more before bed!

Sunday

I actually felt a little worse for wear on the Sunday morning. Partly because the whole weekend I had little to no sleep due to excitement! So we headed off for breakfast and did little else before checking out. It was such a manic weekend with lots and lots going on, we were all ready to hit the hay and the train home! Leaving the hotel and London was a little sad, but I had the best weekend ever.

The Little Details

I strongly believe, the little details in anything make a hugeeee difference, especially with events like Bridal Showers and Hen Dos. Since I had no involvement in the actual hen do, I really got stuck into some of the extras I wanted to offer my hens across the weekend. I was thinking Sash’s, props, wristbands, Team bride packs. The LOT!

So I did. I pulled out the stops, with a little help from my sister, and put together a little pack of goodies for the hens, which were ready and waiting for them upon arrival. Here’s what they included and where I grabbed these gorgeous products from!

Sashs |

No hen do is complete without some sash’s for the hen party! And this weekend was no exception. With 2 nights out and about, we needed sash’s everyone was happy to wear, and look classy! And the ‘I do crew’ sashs were utterly perfect! I had my very own bride to be one which I wore on the first night!

Wristbands |

My hens didn’t get one but they got two wristbands! I love the writst bands, and wanted something every hen could wear throughout the weekend!

BlueBowDesigns had completely personalised bands with the event and my name on them! They were stunning and I adored them for the pure reason that they were personalised. Yet, with the antics of the weekend, many of my hens managed to lose them in transit of clothes and locations.

Cabellobands sent me a mixture of colours and elasticated bands with the wording of ‘Bride Tribe’. I, and my hens adored them, since they doubled up as a hair band too, when things got a little messy! None of them wanted to take them off, and many wore them to my bridal shower too!

Props |

Whilst we were in no state to hold a full on photo session, we did want a prop or two to pose with if we had the chance. The ‘I do Crew’  Since we didn’t to use them too much, they will be used across the Bridal Party.

Overall, I had the best weekend I could have. There was soo much we could have done and my sister chose perfectly for me and the group of hens. The hotel was perfect, location superb and everything we did brought laughs and smiles. Honestly, I have never laughed and smiled so much. I think that’s why it was so hard to come home, and back to reality.

I have to keep reminding myself that the best is still yet to come!

Thank you to all my girls for coming along and creating the most perfect memories. This weekend is full of more laughs and smiles at my bridal party!
