The current weather forecast is constant, never gonnah give up rain. Autumn is officially here, although I am trying to hide it on my insta feed. I’ve generally spent the last 4 days watching Waterloo road, and carrying my rain coat because the UK weather likes to give you random, unpredictable, bursts of dry spells too.
Over the last couple of weeks, there has been an awful lot happening in the Peter’s household. Some good, some ugly. With exciting plans, my efforts to up my blog game with the help of Grow & Glow paying off, Christmas planning and unfortunate vehicle problems, I am already both excited and nervous for the month of October. And we are only in the first week!
As always, this nugget of a post is here to inform, and sometimes rant, my way through the lifestyle of millennial female grappling with adult life – which most of the time she tends to ignore. I have been finding it hard as of late to get some inspo together for some new content and thought where better to start than some of my achievements in the telly watching area.
So what has been happening in my life?

Shortlisted
Since I last updated you in this post, It’s been confirmed, rather wildly, that I have in fact been shortlisted in the Amara Blog awards! As mentioned before this is my first ever blog award and damn I couldn’t be happier. I have worked soo hard over the years finding my groove and even building a loyal readership ( you guys of course ), but it truly means the world to be in this position. The chances of me winning against the amazing other bloggers are slim AF, but hey, I’m shortlisted!
I would like to use this space also to say a huge thank you to every single person who voted for me and has shown me support. I have never felt more proud or humbled and the fact some of you take the time to scroll, read and follow my little slice of the interweb!
Embracing Autumn
Autumn is here *horray* and we can without doubt layer, wear bobble hats and spend an entire weekend on the sofa under a duvet without feeling guilty! And that’s exactly what I have done. Autumn is the perfect time of year to take the gas off the pedal so to speak. Sometimes everything does become a little more hectic in these last 3 months of the year, but before the onslaught of Christmas, take some time for yourself.
City weekend plans
Strictly speaking, we aren’t there over a weekend, but we are there as long as a weekend, so you get the
I’ve been watching…..
Since we have had to live off catch up providers and Netflix / Amazon, I have been watching some classic telly as of late, as well as some new gems! I am proud to announce we are back with Sky and all it’s choices – although I am still watching the classics! So what exactly have I been watching?
Waterloo Road – BBC iPlayer
The whole lot, including the timeless classic, original series is now available to watch on iPlayer. It makes perfect pre-bed viewing and work lunchtime binges too. I just love the nostalgia that comes with re-living every episode!
Downton Abbey – Amazon Prime Video
After watching the movie, and having previously stopped watching following series 4, I decided to re-watch the entire boxset. I love a good binge on a raining Sunday afternoon.
American Horror Story – FOX
I have been a lover of AHS since it birth, but with the lack of key stars, namely Evan Peters and Paula, I’m not feeling the latest series. Given, I’ve only watched one episode, but I usually have a good feeling about series from the offset!
Capture – BBC
Since we had no Sky for a solid 10 days, catch up telly was the only way to watch something other than any of the above. And what a great alternative this is. If you like your crime drama as much as I do ( think the bodyguard ), than get on this gravy train asap. I *think* the last episode airs sometime this week and I cannot contain my excitement.
The Circle – Channel 4
I don’t really like reality TV and once again, the lack of Sky and choice dragged me and my hubby to watch anything and everything including the Circle. And strange to say, we are hooked. Even with Sky returning into our home, we are watching it every night. We just can’t get enough of all the hashtags in convos and well , Tim! Well worth a consideration if you want a little something different when it comes to reality cheese!
So there we have it. The latest from my life, which in all fairness I would share in instagram captions, but I’ve really been slacking on the new content front. Bare with whilst I work on my bribery efforts to get my photographer husband to come out with me!
